A Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), MBA, and Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) with decades of diverse experience as a financial leader and strategist, Chris Anastasopoulos is a resilient finance leader committed to excellence, ethics, and integrity. He has held senior leadership roles at prestigious organizations such as DRI Healthcare/DRI Capital, OMERS, and TD Bank, which highlight a proven record of navigating complex financial landscapes and delivering innovative solutions.

Chris has built his career on integrity, collaboration, and innovation in finance. He is a strategic financial steward who has led and implemented strategic initiatives including capital raise initiatives such as an IPO and debt issuances, and financial systems transformations while fostering team development and excellence.

He has extensive board experience working with public and private company boards/trustees and as a board member of portfolio companies and non-profit organizations. Contributions extend beyond the boardroom through active involvement in community development with organizations like Fred Victor and Financial Executives International Canada. Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
  • Led finance and administrative functions for DRI Healthcare/DRI Capital which included overseeing financial, management, and regulatory reporting for its global healthcare entities in Canada, the U.S., and Europe; financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting; leading asset valuations; and overseeing financial systems and controls.
  • A key leader in executing the IPO for DRI Healthcare Trust (DHT), on the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) and the concurrent sale of DRI Capital's managed funds to DHT.
  • Implemented technology solutions to enhance productivity, reporting, and data analytics.

  • Led finance and administration for OMERS Strategic Investments LP (OSI), which managed net investment assets in multiple industries.
  • Led quarterly and annual financial reporting, tax and regulatory reporting, treasury and cash management, development and implementation of policies and procedures, leading asset valuations, and participating in investment due diligence and risk management activities.
  • Member of the board of directors of several OSI portfolio companies.

  • Led consolidated financial reporting, regulatory reporting, financial analysis, consolidated investment reporting and reconciliations, accounting policy issues, credit agency reviews, and internal controls for OMERS.

  • Managed the consolidated financial reporting for TD Bank producing internal and external reports, including the annual and quarterly financial statements and MD&A and the Audit Committee presentations.
  • Played a key role in implementing the Sarbanes-Oxley Act compliance program across the bank, helping to document internal controls and improve financial reporting processes.
  • Managed accounting policy and reporting issues which included researching, analysing, and implementing significant Canadian and U.S. accounting and reporting standards.
